Luke is a writer, editor, comedian, economist, and poet.

Luke specializes in bringing complex policy issues to life through storytelling, creativity, and humor. His writing has appeared in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Points in Case, Slackjaw, 251, and the Weekly Humorist. Read some of his work here.

He performs comedy around NYC, and has appeared at Comedy Cellar, Stand Up NY, Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and Caveat. He also produces backyard comedy shows in Brooklyn. See where he’s performing here.

He’s currently a Senior Writer and Editor at Yale’s Department of Economics, and has previously worked for MIT, the United Nations, Omidyar Network, and AI Now Institute. Learn more about his professional background here.

He graduated with an MPA from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, and a BA in Economics from Bates College. He’s currently enrolled in NYU’s TV and Screenwriting Certificate program, and would be excited to tell you about his original pilot ideas.
